What Happened
My artwork draws inspiration from the cast iron architectural elements of the Victorian houses present in the surroundings. With this work I explore the tension between the representational surface and the real world, and the visual illusion generated by the interplay of the two perceptual experiences.
Are weathering and decay enough to explain the fragmented drainpipe or is it a sudden unanticipated occurrence?
